Funded Research

The Idaho Wheat Commission strategically invests grower dollars to advance research and extension efforts that improve wheat quality, sustainability, and profitability. Roughly one-third of the Commission’s budget supports agronomic research and the development of new spring and winter wheat varieties. These projects are conducted through both public and private programs at leading institutions such as the University of Idaho, USDA-ARS, Oregon State University, Washington State University, Utah State University, and the Wheat Marketing Center.
