Tim Freeburg grew up farming in North Idaho, helping out his dad and grandpa at a young age. He worked his first full harvest running a combine at 12 years old. Tim has been running the farm on his own for over 25 years and he is now joined by his three young sons growing wheat, bluegrass seed, timothy hay, canola, oats and garbanzo beans. Tim's farm is dryland with minimum tillage production practices.

Tim has been involved with county and state grain organizations, including the Idaho Grain Producers Association since 2008, and served on the PNW Cooperative Board of Directors for 9 years. Besides farming, Tim coaches his sons' baseball teams and flies his airplane around the Idaho backcountry. Tim, his wife, Randi, and boys spend as much time as possible exploring in the mountains, hunting, fishing, and enjoying the beauty of Idaho.

Located in the panhandle of Idaho, District 1 is home to almost 500,000 acres of total farmland.
