| A small portion of intended hard red spring wheat acreage in Montana and North Dakota remains unplanted and may stay that way due to recent wet conditions that have kept producers out of the field. The vast majority of intended acreage in the four-state region was planted and emergence is at 97 percent, right near average. Cooler temperatures over the last couple of weeks and scattered rain showers have limited spraying activities and are delaying crop development in areas. Soil moisture conditions are rated 95 percent adequate to surplus or higher. |
