Sponsored in part by the Idaho Wheat Commission, the University of Idaho Cereal Schools are usually held in Lewiston, Greencreek, Bonners Ferry, Burley, Pocatello, Idaho Falls, Ashton and Preston during January and February. The Cereal Schools provide cereal growers with information that has been gleaned from research in the previous year, including advancements in grain varieties, weed, disease, insect control, and agronomic practices.
The Idaho Wheat Commission provides up-to-date information about the status of current issues facing wheat growers and world wheat supply and demand. Growers can earn three pesticide applicator re-certification credits by attending a cereal school in their area.
